Established in April 2007, Multiply Architects LLP, under the leadership of founding partner Ms. Yap Mong Lin and partner Mr. Alvin Foo, commenced its journey with a modest team of five individuals. Among these were significant projects including a 200-room extension to a hotel in Sentosa, a 35-storey high-end residential development at Leonie Hill, and the Mahabodhi Monastery in Bukit Timah, which gained recognition as a finalist in the World Architecture Festival 2015.
Over the years, Multiply Architects LLP experienced steady growth, diversifying its portfolio with a range of local projects. Additionally, the firm expanded its expertise to include interior design services for residential developments. Notably, in 2011, Multiply Architects ventured into larger-scale commercial projects, such as the reconstruction of Chinatown Point Mall and major conservation works at CHIJMES in Singapore’s Civic District, thanks to the support of local developer Perennial Real Estate Holdings Pte Ltd.
In 2013, Multiply Architects forged a successful partnership with overseas architectural design firm Serie Architects. This collaboration led to securing prestigious commissions through architectural competitions, including projects like the New State Courts Complex, the School of Design and Environment extension at the National University of Singapore, and the Oasis Terraces – HDB Punggol Neighbourhood Centre and Polyclinic, which garnered recognition at the World Architecture Festival 2015 and the Housing Development Board Innovative Design Award 2015.
Acknowledging its contributions to the industry, Multiply Architects was honored with the Singapore Small Medium Enterprise Award of the Year 2015, further solidifying its reputation as a leading architectural firm in Singapore.
